On April 23, the first of a series of online seminars dedicated to GBIF took place. The lecturer, Dr Salza Palpurina (botanist and plant ecologist at the National Museum of Natural History – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and representative of the GBIF regional support team), introduced the participants to the meeting's topics: what GBIF is, and what the benefits and objectives of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility are.
During the seminar, Dr Palpurina demonstrated the data publishing process in GBIF and presented the Global Registry of Scientific Collections (GRSciColl). She also took the opportunity to share useful resources, such as:
The webinar series is dedicated to current topics with a practical focus in the field of biological data and targets the scientific community in Bulgaria.
